Final Exams...Enough Said

I apologize for my silence in this blog - however, I am in the midst of the longest stint of finals I have ever involuntarily participated.  Due to the floods, our schedule has become unusually and extremely busy, and I find myself taking my midterm exams within the same month as my final exams, presentations and term papers.

This stressful heart-pounding, hair pulling fun began the minute I returned from Myanmar, and has continued steadily since.  I will be under duress through the second week of February, upon which I will emerge from my dungeon in the library.

The days are starting to blur together, and I suddenly cannot remember what my life was like before Pocky, Coke and 7 Eleven late night tuna sandwiches.  I have nearly forgotten what my apartment looks like and I wake up to nightmares of the library closing alarm warning.  My butt has even begun to feel comfortable in the Spartan plastic library chairs.

Chula and this Master's program is pushing me in new ways I never thought possible.  It’s like learning a new stretch in yoga and finding muscles you never knew existed...I am finding new levels of stress I never thought were possible!  At the same time - I have never had the opportunity to research and produce such interesting, unique and mind-provoking (while at the same time, mind numbing ;) term papers.  I am incredibly thankful to be here and while I can’t say I am enjoying every minute in the library, I certainly am enjoying plenty.
